О фильме: Ещё с незапамятных времён синтоистские жрицы при помощи своих мечей изгоняют злых духов, которые приносят в мир людей разрушение и хаос. Эти жрицы в народе известны как мечницы, - это бойцы особого подразделения органов правопорядка, которым, как представителям государственной власти, разрешается носить при себе меч. Впрочем, в своём большинстве они школьницы, которые посещают одно из пяти училищ. Очередной весной самые искусные мечницы от пяти училищ со всей страны собираются на ежегодный турнир, где им предстоит показать свои способности и побороться за звание лучшей жрицы-мечницы.
